Gene Roddenberry Shares His “Wisdom”

“I condemn false prophets, I condemn the effort to take away the power of rational decision, to drain people of their free will–and a hell of a lot of money in the bargain. Religions vary in their degree of idiocy, but I reject them all. For most people, religion is nothing more than a substitute for a malfunctioning brain. We must question the story logic of having an all-knowing all-powerful God, who creates faulty Humans, and then blames them for his own mistakes.” — Gene Roddenberry

Typical intellectually-lazy dickhead.  Use religion to deny God.  Old, stupid ploy.  This wisdom from the “creator” of a cheesy sci-fi series in which the “hero” molests every woman who walks by slowly and the new black guy who shows up on the show each week gets killed immediately.  Of course, this “wise man” had no problem extracting “a hell of a lot of money” from the hopeless geeks who lived out their fantasies through aforementioned cheesy show.  I have little doubt that this rod-berry was a f###### tribe member.  It just fits with the self-entitled hypocrisy evidenced in this quote.
